The United States Department of Labor (DOL) has issued the following information regarding the recently passed provisions for paid leave that explains the different provisions.

According to the DOL Guidance, the Act takes effect April 1, 2020.

FFCRA requires Employers to post notice of the Act’s requirements. The Notice requirement can be satisfied by posting on the school’s website, emailing directly to all employees, or posting on the school’s premises. The Q&A explains as follows:

Each covered employer must post a notice of FFCRA requirements in a conspicuous place on its premises. An employer may satisfy this requirement by emailing or direct mailing this notice to employees, or posting this notice on an employee information internal or external website.
